MSA completed civil engineering and land surveying services for a new industrial building with 111 parking spaces, loading areas, storm water management facility, and accessory uses. A storm water facility was designed for the development of a 20-acre parcel and an offsite nine-acre parcel.
Civil engineering services consisted of site plan preparation, which included a Demolition, Erosion and Sediment Control Plan; Grading, Drainage and Utility Plan; design and details for both the 20-acre parcel and the 9-acre parcel to meet water runoff quality and quantity requirements per the latest Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (VDEQ) specifications and City of Chesapeake requirements; pavement design; domestic and fire water service calculations to connect existing City water to the proposed building; and, calculations and details for a private onsite sanitary pump station to connect proposed building to connect the proposed building City sewer. Services also included Virginia Storm water Management Permit (VSMP) application and a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP).
Land surveying services included preparation of a roadway dedication plat. In addition to a topographic survey completed by others, MSA land surveyors provided an additional offsite topographic survey for the storm water outfall.
