As the leader of our Commercial and Land Development practice, Scott has been instrumental in the planning and infrastructure design of residential, commercial, industrial, healthcare, and mixed-use developments. He determines whether a development project is possible and evaluates the land to make sure it can support the proposed development. Once a clear path toward development approval is established, he leads the infrastructure design, including utilities, stormwater and sewer, roadways, and other systems. Scott works with the project’s other architects and engineers to coordinate. He ensures that infrastructure plans comply with zoning laws and other local ordinances. Partners including architects, developers, contractors, and members of the economic development department rely on his knowledge as he helps commercial development teams in maximizing land value and reducing costs.
